  1. Barrundia was imprisoned on charges of treason brought by President of the Central American Federation Manuel José Arce and was subsequently remanded to the custody of the Legislative Assembly of Guatemala for the initiation of impeachment proceedings. Perceiving the actions of the federal authorities as a threat, the Assembly left Guatemala City, relocated to San Martín, and requested that Barrundia reassume the functions of office; he refused.
  2. After the assassination of Flores on 13 Oct 1826 in Quetzaltenango, the goverment of the State of Guatemala ceased to function.

  4. Following a pronunciamiento against the federal authorities, the Council of Representatives (Consejo Representativo) of Guatemala was reconvened in Antigua Guatemala and appointed its Vice-President, Zenteno, provisional chief executive pending the reassumption of office by Juan Barrundia. Upon the capitulation and occupation of Guatemala City by the Allied Army under Morazán on 13 Apr 1829, Zenteno resigned and transferred executive authority to Barrundia on 30 Apr 1829.
  5. Born to Antonia Mazariegos viuda de Molina; the identification on the birth record of one Antonia Ramona Ochoa as the mother is spurious.
  6. Molina was suspended on 9 Mar 1830 when charges were brought against him by the Legislative Assembly. He was eventually aquitted but did not reassume the functions of office.
