18 Mar 1978 the municipalities within administrative limits of the provinces of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia are placed under the administration of the Council of the Valencian Country (Consejo del País Valenciano | Consell del País Valencià) in accordance with a royal decree-law of 17 Mar 1978, effective upon publication (Spain Official Gazette, No. 66, 18 Mar 1978, pp. 6505-6506; Valencia Official Gazette, No. 1, 19 May 1978, pp. 2-4)
10 Jul 1982 the municipalities integrated into the provinces of Alicante, Castellón and Valencia are organized as an autonomous community (comunidad autónoma | comunitat autonoma) of Spain under the name of the Valencian Community in accordance with a statute approved by the Cortes General of Spain (Congreso de los Diputados on 28 Apr 1982; Senado on 15 Jun 1982), signed into law on 1 Jul 1982, effective upon publication (Spain Official Gazette, No. 164, 10 Jul 1982, pp. 18813-18820; Valencia Official Gazette, No. 74, 15 Jul 1982, pp. 2-23) [1]
