The Constitution adopted in 1962 (revised in 1970, 1972, 1980, 1992, and 1996) refers to the monarch as Malik, adding Amīr al-Muʾminīn in one instance; ordinal numbers are in official use, but the name used for promulgation of laws normally consists of a personal name and three patronymics. |
