[1] Pending the taking office by Labastida who was absent from Mexico City and never took office as a member of Supremo Poder Ejecutivo Provisional de la Nación.
[2] Constituted in accordance with a decree of 11 Jul 1863 issued by the Asamblea de Notables, instructing the members of Supremo Poder Ejecutivo Provisional de la Nación to continue in office as Regencia del Imperio Mexicano; from 10 Apr 1864 pending the taking office by the Emperor.
[3] Márquez was appointed the Lieutenant General of the Empire by an imperial decree of 19 Mar 1867 issued at Querétaro. After the capture of the emperor (15 May 1867), Márquez remained the highest officer of state in Mexico City, the capital of the Empire besieged by the armed forces of the government of Benito Juárez. The capital surrendered on 21 Jun 1867.
