[1] The Constitution of Greece of 1827 routinely refers to the polity as Hellēnikē Epikrateia (Ελληνική Επικράτεια) or Hellēnikē Politeia (Ελληνική Πολιτεία). The latter style was in consistent official use.
[2] A law promulgated on 11 Oct 1935 (effective upon publication in Official Gazette, Part A, No. 459, 11 Oct 1935, p. 2301) prescribed the use of the Kingdom of Greece (Basileion tēs Hellados|Βασίλειον της Ελλάδος) in governmental decrees and other official documents.
