14 Nov 1920 the Ukrainian People's Republic ceased to exist de facto after the government was forced to leave the temporary capital, Kamianets-Podilskyi, on 14 Nov 1920 [8]

  4. The sesssion of the Little Rada, which approved the declaration of independence, began at about 01:00 12/25 Jan 1918 (Central Rada: Documents and Materials, 2:101-102). The printed version of the declaration, appearing in Government Bulletin, was backdated to 9/22 Jan 1918.

  7. Full title: Universal Dyrektoriji Ukrajinsʹkoji Narodnoji Respubliky (Універсал Директорії Української Народної Республіки). The unification was approved by the Council of People's Ministers of the Ukrainian People's Republic at a meeting held between 23:45 21 Jan 1919 and 00:30 22 Jan 1919.
  8. After a series of military defeats in the war with Russia, the Council of People's Ministers abandoned the temporary capital, Kamianets-Podilskyi, on 9 Jul 1920 and crossed the border on 16 Jul 1920, effectively becoming a government-in-exile. The Council briefly returned to Ukraine, resuming its operations in Kamianets-Podilskyi on 11 Nov 1920, but was forced to leave on 14 Nov 1920 and moved to the territory of Poland shortly after.
