| [1] | In accordance with decree of the Governor General of 12 Oct 1939 ("Erste Verordnung des Generalgouverneurs Dr. Frank über den Aufbau der Verwaltung der besetzten polnischen Gebiete", §§ 9, 10), German was designated as the sole official language (Amtssprache), while Polish was only allowed for use ("Die polnische Sprache ist zugelassen.") The legislation was promulgated in both languages with German versions recognised as superior. |
