[1] Creation of the autonomous republic is decreed by the Russian SFSR authorities (1 Feb 1926), pending the approval of the All-Russian Central Exectuive Committee (18 Nov 1926); declaration of the autonomous republic is passed by Kyrgyz constituent assembly 7 Mar 1927.
[2] Kyrgyz (кыргызча - kyrgyzča) becomes the state language on 1 Oct 1989.
[3] This style becomes constitutional 5 Feb 1991 when an amendment to the Constitution of 1978 takes effect (the previous style is intermittently used in official practice to 5 Feb 1991).
[4] Between 9 Nov 2006 and 14 Sep 2007 the use of Кыргызстан (Kyrgyzstan) as alternative polity style is endorsed by the Constitution of 1993 (as amended in 2006).
