| [1] | Immediately following the submission of the resignation by Daetongryeong (27 Apr 1960), assumes the functions of Head of State in accordance with Art. 52 of the Constitution of 1948 (as amended 29 Nov 1954) in his capacity as (senior) State Councillor presiding in the Cabinet; confirmed in office as Acting President, State Councillor (Daetongryeong Gwonhandaehaeng Gukmu Wiwon) in accordance with the Presidential Order No. 1571 passed by the Cabinet 30 Apr 1960. The resignation of I Seung-man becomes effective upon the acceptance by the National Assembly 3 May 1960. |
